News and Events
Residents, families and staff have supported and/or were involved in the following

1. The Fitchburg Community Connections Coalition Newsletter is printed quarterly highlighting its work in the community with a special focus on empowering residents of Fitchburg and how they help improve their community.

2. A "Community Block Party and Resident Appreication Event" was held on June 10, 2006 to celebrate Cleghorn Families and the activities of the Fitchburg Community Connections Coalition and Cleghorn Neighborhood Center Partnership.

3. Residents, families and staff of the coalition supported the Third Annual "Rock the Peace March Against Violence" at Green Street Park on Aughust 26, 2006. FCCC residents staffed an information table, marched in the rally, enjoyed the food and entertainment and supported LUKs Annual Common Ground Basketball Tournament.

4. On September 9, 2006 FCCC residents, families and staff enjoyed the "First Annual Multicultural Event 2006" held at River Front Park. Residents staffed an outreach table and enjoyed the music, food and activities.

5. Members of the FCCC Steering Committee completed a four hour Governance and Leadership Training August 23 and 24, 2006 to enhance the abilities of the Steering Committee.

6. On September 25 and 26, 2006 five Steering Committee members, residents, providers and staff attended the Community Connections Retreat "Celebrating 10 Years of Successful bridge Building". Twenty two Community Connections Coalitions enjoyed two days of activities including workshops, regional team building, keynote speakers and time to network and relax.
