The Fitchburg Community Connections Coalition supports many activities held throughout the city of Fitchburg as we strive to reduce isolation and build caring communities by partnering with many of Fitchburg service agencies. Each year the coalition creates an activities plan by focusing on the needs residents have brought forward as part of ensuring a safe and caring community for families and children.

FCCC supports the work of the Department of Children and Families by actively recruiting foster parents in our community. When a child has to leave their home DCF strives to keep them in their community and enrolled in their current school. Foster families are needed so children can be placed with extended family members or members of the community. FCCC is currently seeking to increase the number of families of color and Latina families ready to become caring and nurturing foster homes.
